TESTIMONIALS

"When we needed to increase our capacity by replacing a 14 ft. pulper with a 20 ft. unit, we turned to MTR Martco.  Early on we found that their price was 30% lower than their competitors’.  Later, we also found that the quality of their work was outstanding.  MTR Martco’s professional staff asked all the right questions and even took field measurements to develop a model of our plant to ensure a smooth installation.  The replacement pulper was finished on time and on budget.  Our capacity is now where we want it to be and our quality is better than ever.”

The History of MTR Martco

1967 James H. Martindale started Martco Inc. with 3 employees in a small office in Middletown, Ohio after leaving his position with Black Clawson's Shartle/Pandia division as Manager of Engineering. Martco built a strong customer base providing new components, rebuilds and repairs to the Pulp and Paper Industry.

1973 Martco Inc. moved to a new facility and its current location on Yankee Rd. in Middletown, Ohio. The new manufacturing facility allowed Martco to expand its product lines, and added roll grinding capability.

1978 Continued growth required numerous building expansions and the addition of various machining and fabricating equipment. Martco Inc. continued to add to its product lines, and commitment to furnish cost effective alternatives for components, and replacement parts. Martco inc. starts their Pulper drive exchange program.

1985 James Martindale retires, and sells Martco Inc. to John R. Martindale. John had worked for the company since 1971 in various manufacturing, and sales positions. John continued to grow the business, and add manufacturing capacity to satisfy customer needs.

1998 Ray McIntosh and Tom Bake, the former VP/General Manager and VP/Sales purchased Martco Inc., and became MTR Martco LLC. MTR Martco continues to add product lines, and customer base to include Mexico, Canada and China.

2002 Additional manufacturing space is added with a new 20 ton crane building to house new CNC machining.

2005 MTR Martco purchases Orman's Welding Center and adjoining property. The acquisition adds manufacturing capability as well as a strong customer base in the Steel Industry.
